STUDIO SHINYOO

먹색은 자연의 생명력을 의미합니다. 눈에 잘 보이지 않는 우거진 수풀의 응달진 음영 속에서 생명은 발아하고, 몇 차례의 어둠을 견딘 생명만이 꽃을 피워낼 수 있습니다. 먹을 입은 한지와 원목은, 자연의 생명력에서 기인한 재질감을 서로에게 덧칠하며 하나의 조형을 만들어 갑니다.

문화체육관광부 @mcstkorea 가 주최하고 한국공예디자인문화진흥원 @kcdf_insta 이 주관한 《2023 한류연계 협업콘텐츠(한지) 기획개발 지원 사업》 프로젝트의 일환으로 제작한 트레이입니다.

Muk(Ink Black) symbolizes the vitality of nature. Life takes root in the shaded depths of dense foliage—often unseen, quietly persistent. Only that which endures several cycles of darkness gathers enough strength to bloom. Hanji draped in muk and raw wood surfaces merge their textures—each born of nature’s resilience. Layer by layer, they shape a singular form—an embodiment of life, quietly unfolding from shadow.

This work was produced as part of the 2023 Korean Wave-linked Hanji Collaborative Content Development Program, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation.
